The 4M40 series is a reliable inline 4-cylinder SOHC 8-valve diesel engine manufactured by Mitsubishi. With a displacement of 2835cc, it includes naturally aspirated 4M40 and turbocharged 4M40T versions. Featuring a durable cast iron cylinder block and aluminum cylinder head, this engine delivers strong low-speed torque and outstanding off-road adaptability. It is widely fitted for Mitsubishi Pajero, L200, Canter, Delica and other light commercial & off-road vehicles.
